It’s Time to Address the Elephant in the Room

You know that awkward feeling when there’s an elephant in the room and nobody wants to address it? At the IA Financial Services office in Vancouver, we decided to do the exact opposite. We’re thrilled to announce that the Elephant in the Room Toastmasters club officially received its charter on August 1, 2026.

While the name might sound like we’re hiding a secret, we’re actually quite the opposite: we’re all about finding our voices. Since their first official meeting on August 6, 2026, they’ve already hit a major milestone with 24 founding members ready to sharpen their public speaking and leadership skills.

This journey has been a team effort. We want to extend a massive thank you to our Club Sponsor, Louisa Davis, and our incredible Club Mentors, Melody Helleouet and David Nguyen. Their guidance during this foundational period has been instrumental in helping us get this club off the ground.
