District 21 Speech Contests Announced for 2025-2026
On July 19, 2025 during the District Officer Training (COT) event held in Surrey, British Columbia, District 21 Leaders voted on the contest types to be held for the 2025-2026 Speech Contest season. In addition to the International Speech Contest, we are pleased to announce that Tall Tales will be the second contest to be held in District 21 this year.
District 21 Speech Contest Timeline 2025-2026
- Club level contests to be held anytime between December 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026.
- Area level contests to be held anytime between February 1, 2026 to March 15, 2026.
- Division level contests to be held anytime between March 16, 2026 to mid-April.
- District level speech contests will be held in mid-April 2026 during the District 21 2026 Annual Conference (date/time/venue to be announced soon).
NOTE: All contests starting from the Area level and up are to be held in-person.
2025-2026 Speech Contest Rulebook
The Speech Contest Rulebook, in effect from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026, features speech contest rules for the International, Evaluation, Humorous, Table Topics®, Tall Tales, and Video Speech Contests.
