To all to whom these presents shall come – Greeting

WHEREAS Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization, is a national and international leader in making effective oral communication a reality for hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, and WHEREAS the Toastmasters program complements existing training programs, is cost effective and helps people improve their communication, leadership and mentoring skills, teamwork, productivity and effectiveness in meetings, and WHEREAS the first Toastmasters club was formed in 1924 in California, and Toastmasters International has now grown to over 260 000 members in more than 13 800 clubs in 150 countries, and WHEREAS the first Toastmasters club outside the United States was chartered in 1935 in Victoria, British Columbia, and Toastmasters has since grown to serve more than 2 500 members in 200 clubs in British Columbia, and WHEREAS Toastmasters International and its member Toastmaster Clubs perform a valuable service for its members by helping people develop essential communication and leadership skills that promote self-actualization, enhance leadership potential, and contribute to the betterment of communities; 
 

NOW KNOW YE THAT We do by these presents proclaim and declare that February 2026 shall be known as

“Toastmasters Month”

in the Province of British Columbia.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent and the Great Seal of Our Province of
British Columbia to be hereunto affixed.
