Melody Helleouet
Melody Helleouet has been a Toastmaster since 2018 and is currently a member of Community Impact Speakers Toastmasters Club located in Burnaby, BC. Melody has served in many club leadership roles including VP Public Relations from 2018-2021, Club President from 2021-2022 and Sergeant at Arms from 2022-2023. Melody has also assumed the past role of Facebook Specialist for District 96, our Past D96 Public Relations Manager for 2023-2024 term, Club Sponsor, Club Officer Trainer, Past D96 Annual Conference Chair for 2023-2024 and Past D96 Division D Director for 2024-2025. She is currently serving as our District 21 Program Quality Director for the 2025-2026 term. Melody is also our District 21 incoming District Director ELECT for 2026-2027. She is also the recipient of the Dr. Ralph Yorsh Legacy Award for 2023-2024.
Professionally, Melody works as an Account Executive for Western Canada both Large & Small Groups with Desjardins Insurance working with employee benefit advisors, brokers and consultants here in British Columbia. She is also the current Chair of the Canadian Benefits and Pensions Institute (CPBI) Pacific Region serving a two-year term. Overall, Melody brings over 20 years of experience working in group benefits in Canada and enjoys both professional and personal development between her work and volunteer roles.
Born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Melody moved to Vancouver, BC in 2011 and has enjoyed living in Western Canada ever since. After spending many years raising her family in Burnaby, BC she has recently moved to New Westminster with her husband Patrick and three kids (Amira, Karwan and Benjamin) and last but never least, their family chihuahua, Cocopuff.
